Rapid Rundown - April 2026
Hello members.
Time has certainly flown this year. We're now into Autumn and cooler temperatures should soon be coming our way. Great weather for MX-5 drives. There has been no shortage of events for members to enjoy and there are many more listed on the website home page and calendar. You will need to log in to your account to see the details of some events. Events range from social gatherings through social drives to a wide variety of motorsport events. Make a habit of logging in every time you visit so that you don't miss out.
Although we don't currently have a magazine editor, you can join the conversation on the (Official) members only Facebook group at this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/mx5clubqld You will find plenty of information about future events and see photos/videos of recent past events. Please contact me if you are interested in taking on the magazine editor role.
NatMeet XVI is running 2-8 May 2026. We have a rather large contingent of 23 cars and 40 members making their way down to Rydges Hunter Valley Resort which will be the centre point of activities and where most people will be accommodated. I've never been to a NatMeet I didn't like and expect this one will be just as enjoyable. If you missed out on this event, start thinking about 2028. Details will be broadcast when they become known.
Our Annual General Meeting will be coming up on Saturday, 5 September 2026 at the Shannons facility at Eagle Farm. This year's AGM will be MX-5 focussed with a social event to follow the necessary formalities. More details as we get closer to the event.
