Well Goodness Mee, we are off to the MBBC!
February can often be relied on to produce scorchers in the middle of the day, so we're going to do a late Sunday Afternoon run, hopefully as the day begins to cool down, and having a meal together on the spectacular verandah of the Moreton Bay Boat Club, overlooking the Marina at Scarborough.
We've done the Scarborough and Peninsula foreshores a bit, so instead we'll break the run drought through December and January with a bit of twisty stuff by starting on Mt Mee at the Pit Stop Cafe, a car and motor bike themed cafe on the escarpment overlooking the valley to the west.
Arrive to gather around the cars at 3:00pm, or if you feel inspired meet friends in the Chapter a bit earlier for a light late lunch or afternoon tea. The kitchen closes at 2:30pm, though they'll be happy to make coffees till they close at 3:30pm. We'll do the drivers briefing at 3:30 and send Group 1 off at 3:45pm.
Then we'll take the best twisty quiet roads we can find on a fairly direct route to Scarborough, and aim to arrive between 5:00pm and 5:30pm.
